The Meadowlily area provides a range of attractive habitants for butterflies and insects . According to the 1987 Stevenson's study and 2011 Meadowlily Area Draft Plan there is at least 26 varieties of butterflies in the area. Further conservation efforts could generate a great number of additional species.
